5 Star Hotels in Edinburgh

If money is no object then I would highly recommend the Sheraton Grand Hotel located at 1 Festival Square. It has a fabulous spa and outdoor swimming pool. It’s wonderfully placed to enjoy scenic views of the city including the Castle.

Another hotel is the Balmoral. It is luxury in every sense of the word, steeped in Scottish history and culture, and definitely worth staying at if you get an opportunity.

Business Hotels in Edinburgh

Well known brands such as Hilton, Malmasion and Radisson are always good places to start for executive hotels in Edinburgh. The Hilton Caledonian is a personal favourite of mine and always high on my list of hotels when I’m staying in the city.

Other local brands to look out for would be the Apex and MacDonald brands which tend to be slightly cheaper but still give you the same level of quality.

Quality and affordable Hotels in Edinburgh

The Thistle and Carlton are very good and reasonably priced hotels in Edinburgh. They are both 4 star hotels and offer luxuries often beyond the reasonable pricing.

Cheap hotels in Edinburgh

Jurys Inn and the Premier Inn are cheap hotels in Edinburgh. Also look at Travel Inn and other budget brands. These hotels are fairly well placed within Edinburgh and if travelling on a budget you won’t have to be miles outside the city like you would with London.

Other options

Edinburgh has 100’s of B&Bs located all over the city, ranging from basic to luxury. There are also some very good self catering options within Edinburgh such as the Fraser Suites and other modern apartments.
